Is it worth it?

So how desperate can you be in your relationship? Just to make your relationship more complicated and cause more and more problems to occur in your life?

Well...the purpose of the video above was one of the most popular tune years ago and it's still ringing in my head now since the time I was driving to his workplace. What do you have in mind when you watch the video above? Getting erotic eh? But do you think it's worth complicating your relationship with that particular one??

Think twice, ten times and maybe the zillionth time....you will get your answer...

P.S. I'm soooo loving the keyboard of my Dell laptop!

Liquid Nitrogen Facts

Being a Chemistry teacher, we get to experience different experiments, those conventional titration ones and even the more dangerous one like using liquid nitrogen.

In this post, I'm going to share with you videos which I took at a distance, during one of my laboratory lessons in NIE. It's one of those practical work lessons whereby only the professor can demonstrate but student-teachers can only watch and experience.

First and foremost....I will definitely give you a background on what is liquid nitrogen...
---------------------------------------

Facts about Liquid Nitrogen

Liquid nitrogen is nitrogen in a liquid state at a very low temperature. It is produced industrially by fractional distillation of liquid air. Liquid nitrogen is a colourless clear liquid.

At atmospheric pressure, liquid nitrogen boils at 77 K (−196 °C) and is a cryogenic fluid which can cause rapid freezing on contact with living tissue, which may lead to frostbite. When appropriately insulated from ambient heat, liquid nitrogen can be stored and transported, for example in vacuum flasks. Here, the very low temperature is held constant at 77 K by slow boiling of the liquid, resulting in the evolution of nitrogen gas. Depending on the size and design, the holding time of vacuum flasks ranges from a few hours to a few weeks.

Liquid nitrogen can easily be converted to the solid by placing it in a vacuum chamber pumped by a rotary vacuum pump. Liquid nitrogen freezes at 63 K (−210 °C;). Despite its reputation, liquid nitrogen's efficiency as a coolant is limited by the fact that it boils immediately on contact with a warmer object, enveloping the object in insulating nitrogen gas. This effect, known as the Leidenfrost effect, applies to any liquid in contact with an object significantly hotter than its boiling point. More rapid cooling may be obtained by plunging an object into a slush of liquid and solid nitrogen than into liquid nitrogen alone.

So why is it sooo dangerous??

Because of its extremely low temperature, careless handling of liquid nitrogen may result in cold burns.

As liquid nitrogen evaporates it will reduce the oxygen concentration in the air and might act as an asphyxiant, especially in confined spaces. Nitrogen is odourless, colourless and tasteless, and may produce asphyxia without any sensation or prior warning. A laboratory assistant died in Scotland in 1999, apparently from asphyxiation, after liquid nitrogen spilled in a basement storage room.

Vessels containing liquid nitrogen can condense oxygen from air. The liquid in such a vessel becomes increasingly enriched in oxygen (boiling point = 90 K) as the nitrogen evaporates, and can cause violent oxidation of organic material.

Here are the videos!! (P.S. It may not be so clear because of where I'm seated but it serves it's purpose - to convey the danger of liquid nitrogen!!)

Spicy Korean Kimchi Noodle

When I had nothing to eat and do not feel like eating rice or anything meaty, I cooked this Instant Spicy Korean Kimchi Noodle with a touch of QueenLiyn.

Brainiac & Alkali Metals

I'm currently very the busy with preparing of my Chemistry Micro-teaching materials for this Friday. Although it's just a trial run, I still have high expectations for myself. It is about teaching the Periodic table and its group properties, whereby I zoomed directly into the Alkali Metals.

I find it a bit hard to have any interactive activities but to make my presentation more exciting is to screen a video. Here it is....

Drama Review for Teachers

Dear teacher friends,

Maybe some of you might not be the ones who are "into" Korean dramas but I have a recommendation. A Korean drama entitled "Master of Study" can be a guide for us, especially the secondary school teachers who will be dealing with difficult and rebellious students, especially those coming from the Normal Technical stream.

Probably, at the beginning of the series, it may be a bit boring but it's really a good drama to guide us teachers. Highly recommended by yours truly...

Hee~

Enjoy...!

A Shelter Above our Heads

Alhamdulillah...

We finally went to select the a 4-room unit at the 14th floor that we want at HDB Hub just now for a BTO Project at Bukit Panjang called Segar Grove. Both of us could not believe that we just bought a house without any further delays. In 4 years time, we will have a shelter over our heads and a place to build our own family.

Alhamdulillah...

We have careers, a car and now, a house, what more do we have to ask for....

Looking forward to living with him. Cannot imagine more responsibilities to withhold...

If you look at it closely, you can see Hatta's head at the 14th floor waving at you... :)

Undecided

The wedding location is still undecided although we went to the community center just now to block the dates. Will have to pay the RC a visit with my parents on Monday night to appeal on the usage of the badminton court within our estate to hold my wedding function.

If using of the CC is too expensive or our appeal is rejected, we will have to reduce the number of people on our guest list. That, I apologize profusely.

My head is spinning a lot nowadays to make decisions and to do the follow-ups of my planning process, plus the huge pile of assignments from school. Well, I hope to do well in my career advancement. It's not just another certificate. Unlike my honours degree, this diploma determines my career in teaching and yes, who does not want to do well?

I love teaching. Cannot believe it....

My Love Story

How many times have you fell for that someone throughout the time you are with them?
How many times have you felt so much love coming from that someone and you always felt like melting?
How many times do you want to express your love towards that someone when you are in front of him?
And how many times did you miss that someone even when he is just sitting next to you?

I have felt all of the above for the last one-thousand-nine-hundred-and-thirty-two days and for each and every hour for the last forty-six-thousand-three-hundred-and-sixty hours.

Can you imagine that?

It's amazing that all these feelings can be accumulated over the years and being shared together for the rest of our lives. Yes, I do. Through thick and thin, through richness and poor, through sickness and health.... I will always love you my dearest....

Jittery...

I'm attempting to blog this late at night specifically my reasons are that...

  • I have no school for tomorrow.
  • I'm worried about having only a week to prepare for my Chemistry micro-teaching lesson plus having other assignments to complete.
  •  I've started having the jitters at night for the past week and I cannot sleep!

WHY? It's just 240 days away and I'm freaking out. Everyday, communicating with my parents is always about that big event. It's just the $$$ I see everyday and there are the arguments. They wanted this but I didn't want. They didn't want that but I'm dying to have one!!! What's wrong with going for a LOOOONNNGGG honeymoon? Gosh...I've never had any getaways with him when throughout this past 6 years. It's just about the sweetness of freedom...

Anyway, all I know is that I have to go through a journey full of nightmares before I get to the day that I'm officially named as someone's wife legally. Just get me there *Insya'Allah*

As of today...here's what we have been working on for the past months...

P.S. My writing may be kind of bad for now. But I'm trying my best as a start. It's been some time since I've blogged...

Hiatus Now

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going..

I'm kind of motivated to do my assignments now and to complete them one by one.

Let's compete with Kiasu Lam...

Sorry...I've been busy with school lately and the semester is ending soon. More assignments are due, so let's say I'm just on hiatus for now till my semester ends.

And my wedding preparations are on the way. Yay-ness that we have finally booked the Tok Kadi as well as the caterer...
